Harrogate: Police seize 468 cannabis plants in town centre raid
- Published
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of over £200,000 have been found at a property in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police said officers discovered 468 plants at an address on Haywra Street on Wednesday.
A 56-year-old man has been charged with the production of a controlled Class B drug and is due to appear before magistrates in York on 2 April.
Police remained at the scene until Saturday to allow staff to dismantle and seize the production set up.
The raid followed the discovery of another cannabis farm in the town last month.
The force has asked residents in the area to continue to report any signs of criminal activity.
