York A19 crash: Motorcyclist injured in collision with pick-up truck

The crash happened near the junction of the A19 and Howard Drive in York

A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a pick-up truck, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the A19 in York, near the junction with Howard Drive, at about 19:50 GMT on Friday after the two vehicles collided.

North Yorkshire Police said the crash involved a blue Ford Ranger pick-up and a grey Yamaha motorcycle.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.
