A teenager has been arrested after a stolen car was pursued by police at speeds of up to 100mph.
The high-performance Mercedes was taken during a two-in-one burglary, when thieves break into a house so they can steal car keys, in York on Tuesday.
Police tracked the stolen car, which failed to stop, at about 04:00 GMT and pursued it until it crashed at a roundabout.
The driver, an 18-year-old man from the Hull area, was detained.
He remains in custody, a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police added.
They said officers had been supported by the National Police Air Service helicopter during their pursuit of the stolen Mercedes.
A stinger device, designed to puncture the tyres of a vehicle, had been deployed near Knaresborough.
The keys to other vehicles, cash and jewellery were also stolen from the property, the force said.
