Whitby: Cyclist assaults walker on Cinder Track bike route

A pedestrian was assaulted by a cyclist near Larpool Viaduct, Whitby, police say
A cyclist assaulted a man who was walking with his family along a North Yorkshire coastal bike route, police have said.
The male bicycle rider assaulted the man on the Cinder Track near Larpool Viaduct, Whitby, at about 08:30 GMT on Saturday, North Yorkshire Police said.
A passerby who intervened, described by police as "a key witness", has been urged to contact the force.
Police also asked anyone else with information to come forward.
