North Yorkshire Police said it was continuing to work with the Independent Office for Police Conduct
A North Yorkshire police officer has been suspended after using force to restrain a suspect.
Officers were called to a report of a crash in Tockwith on 26 January where they arrested a man in his 40s.
The man became violent towards officers, who used force to restrain him, the force said.
The incident was referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and following a review, one officer has been suspended from duty.
North Yorkshire Police said it was continuing to work with the IOPC.
