Harrogate by-election: Lib Dems' Andrew Timothy wins seat

The Liberal Democrats retained a North Yorkshire Council seat on Thursday night in a by-election in Harrogate.
Andrew Timothy won the Stray, Woodlands and Hookstone seat vacated by Pat Marsh, who resigned in February.
Mr Timothy won 1,094 votes, with John Ennis (Conservative) second at 768 and Gilly Charters (Green) third with 376.
John Swales (Reform UK) took 141 and Geoff Foxall (Labour) 116. The Conservative and Independents Group retained control of the council.
