The son of a missing farmer said his family are "absolutely devastated" by his father's disappearance.

Nicholas Leaf, 67, was last seen at his home in the Riccall area, near York, on Tuesday 9 April.

North Yorkshire Police described Mr Leaf as 5ft 9in, with grey hair and a beard, and having a slight limp.

His son Harry said his family were experiencing a "horrible variety of emotions", adding, "we all just want to bring him home".

"We've had loads of support from great people across the community, and people we know and love, but really what I'm trying to stress is for everybody out there, is that they are on the lookout to find my dad, because we all love him very much and we all just want to bring him home.

"My family are absolutely devastated and bewildered by his disappearance, and confused as to where he could be," he said.

Harry went on to ask members of the public who may have CCTV or doorbell cameras to check their footage from 21:00 BST on 9 April onwards for any signs of his father.

North Yorkshire Police said they were "very concerned" about Mr Leaf's welfare and asked anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.
