York man badly burned in suspected corrosive substance attack

A woman has been arrested after a man suffered serious burns in a suspected corrosive substance attack in York.
The incident happened at about 00:30 BST on Friday at an address at the junction of Fossway and Dodsworth Avenue, police said.
The man in his 30s is being treated in hospital following what officers believe was a targeted attack.
A woman in her 40s was arrested and was being questioned, North Yorkshire Police said. A cordon is in place.
The force said increased high-visibility patrols would take place in the area to reassure residents.
