York: Six rescued from River Ouse after two boats collide

The boat collision took place near Lendal Bridge in York on Wednesday afternoon
Six people have been rescued from the River Ouse in York after two passenger boats collided.
North Yorkshire Police said a small hire boat capsized and sank after colliding with another vessel near Lendal Bridge at about 12:25 BST on Wednesday.
The force said all six people were rescued from the water "safe and well".
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said one of the people was taken to hospital for treatment.
