'Full Irish' Fry takes soap role

Actor, broadcaster and well-known Twitterer Stephen Fry is to appear in TG4's Irish language soap opera, Ros na Run.
Fry visited the set in Connemara for a new BBC tv series called Planet World.
He wll return for a cameo in early December at Spiddal, County Galway.
Ros na Run is broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays on TG4 - it has been running for 15 years. The programme is also shown in Philadelphia and on the Scots Gaelic channel, TeleG.
Over the years, it has tackled abortion, suicide, abuse of elderly people and domestic violence.
Fry has been given a small speaking part and is learning his "cupla focal" for his Irish script.
