Mairtin O'Muilleoir is to re enter politics

Former Sinn Fein councillor Mairtin O'Muilleoir is to re-enter politics as a party representative on Belfast City Council.

He was a member of the council for a decade, until 1997, before quitting politics to go into business.

His name has been put forward to represent the Balmoral area on Belfast City Council.

For the last 13 years Mr O'Muilleoir has headed the Belfast Media Group, publishers of the Andersonstown News.

He's also currently an interim non-executive director of Northern Ireland Water.

Mr O'Muilleoir wrote a book about his experiences as a Belfast city councillor, "The Dome of Delight".
