Newtownabbey father denies murdering baby son

The trial of a father accused of killing his baby son began in Belfast Crown Court on Monday.
Cameron Leslie was just 14-weeks-old when he died at the Royal Victoria Hospital in September 2008.
His 26-year-old father Ryan Leslie, from Ballyvessey Green in Newtownabbey, denies murdering the baby. He faces a further charge of grievous bodily harm.
Prosecution lawyer Ciaran Murphy said that Cameron had died from a blunt trauma injury to the back of his head.
The child was also found to have fractured ribs.
The lawyer told the jury that they would hear evidence from medical experts and that this evidence would show the injuries sustained by Cameron Leslie were not caused accidentally.
Mr Murphy said that the fatal head injury occurred between 48 and 72 hours before the baby died.
The jury heard that the person looking after the child during this time was Mr Leslie.
Mr Murphy said it was the prosecution's case that Ryan Leslie had carried out an act with the intention to kill or seriously harm the child.
The case continues.
