Bombardier in Belfast is making wings for the CSeries plane

Belfast plane maker Bombardier has confirmed that it has paid off 40 agency workers in recent weeks.

The company said it had no plans to reduce its core workforce of 5000.

So far Bombardier has won 133 firm orders for its new C Series narrow body jet planes.

The composite wings for those planes will be made in Belfast.
