Stormont struggles to offload 97 acres of housing land

The Stormont Executive is struggling to offload 97 acres of housing land in Ballymena.
The Department of Social Development said it is still for sale, one month after a deadline passed for sealed bids.
A spokeswoman said the land at Ballee did attract offers "but not near the right price".
The site was acquired by compulsory purchase in 1970 but never developed.
In 2007 the DSD was offered £50m for the site - but as it valued the site at £75m, no deal materialised.
It is understood a valuation done a year ago said the land is now worth about £9m.
