Foo Fighters headline Vital first day in Belfast

Dave Grohl fronts the Foo Fighters at the two-day Tennent's Vital festival
Thousands of Foo Fighters fans heard their favourite musicians make their Northern Ireland debut on the first day of Tennents Vital at Boucher playing fields on Tuesday.
The Grammy Award-winning group drummed up a storm when they headlined the concert, held this year for the first time at the south Belfast venue.
Former Nirvana drummer and Foo frontman Dave Grohl lead the group in many of their biggest hits, including Learn To Fly, Times Like These and Best Of You.
Their most recent album, Wasting Light, topped the charts in 12 countries.
Foo Fighters lifted five awards at this year's Grammys and were recently declared Best International Group at the Brits.
Trucker Diablo, the Cribs, the Black Keys and the Minutes make up the rest of the line-up on Tuesday.
On Wednesday evening the event was headlined by the Manchester four-piece, The Stone Roses.

After reforming for a world tour this year, the Roses reverted to their original line-up of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary 'Mani' Mounfield and drummer Alan 'Reni' Wren.
Stone Roses fans are hoping to hear some of the groups iconic numbers including Made Of Stone, I Wanna Be Adored, Love Spreads and I Am The Resurrection.
The second-night line-up also includes Florence and The Machine, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Gerard i2 and Maverick Sabre.
English indie band Florence and the Machine last played in Northern Ireland in 2010.
Their sound has been described as a combination of genres, including rock and soul.
