Warning over NI water usage after hot weather
- Published
Northern Ireland Water is asking the public to be aware of water usage following the recent dry, hot spell.
They supply about 560m litres of water each day.
NI Water say two thirds of usage is in the bathroom, with 423m litres of water flushed down toilets each year.
Although NI's water resources are stable, the company is urging people to reduce wastage. This can be done by fixing dripping taps and having showers instead of baths.
