One of Northern Ireland's biggest construction firms has pulled out of plans to buy a former Quinn group business after a series of death threats and attacks on property.
The Lagan Group had planned to buy the former Quinn roof tiles business.
The business, established by bankrupt former billionaire Sean Quinn, employs about 20 people in County Fermanagh.
The last straw for the Lagan Group came when the firm's chairman received a written death threat last week.
The Lagan Group has a major business producing construction products like cement and bricks.
The Quinn Rooftiles business was being sold by Aventas, the re-branded Quinn Group.
However, after news of the deal was announced there was a series of arson attacks on the Lagan Group.
The final straw came last week when the firm's chairman, Kevin Lagan, received a written death threat on the day his wife died.
Since Sean Quinn lost control of the Quinn Group three years ago there has been a series of attacks on the group's companies or those who have expressed an interest in buying them.
Mr Quinn has condemned the attacks.
