LA Fitness gym in Belfast taken over by Pure Gym

The gym is to be reopened in September

An LA Fitness gym in Adelaide Street in Belfast city centre, which is due to close on 4 July, is to be taken over by Pure Gym.

The company says the new gym will be open 24 hours a day, however the swimming pool is to close. It has set an opening date of 30 September.

Pure Gym is also opening a new branch at Toscana Retail Park in Bangor.

A deal had previously been reached to sell the Adelaide Street gym to Sports Direct, but it fell through.

Pure Gym has 66 gyms across the UK including one at St Annes Square in Belfast.
