Belfast Zoo: One monkey found, one still missing
- Published
One of the two monkeys that escaped from Belfast Zoo has been caught.
The lion-tailed macaques named Rose and Zoid got away after giving their keepers the slip on Wednesday.
Rose was found at the bottom of Cave Hill where one of the monkeys was sighted on Wednesday.
The zoo believes that it was Zoid who was spotted near houses in Ben Madigan Park on the Antrim Road in north Belfast.
Belfast Zoo said they were continuing to track the movement of Zoid and hoped he would be found and returned to the zoo soon.
Previously, six lion-tailed macaques escaped from the zoo in October 2013.
