Belfast bomb: Man charged with attempted murder of prison officer

The bomb exploded under the prison officer's van in east Belfast last week
A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a prison officer in a bomb attack in Belfast last week.
The officer, 52, was seriously injured when a booby-trap device exploded under his van on Friday, 4 March.
A dissident republican group known as the New IRA said it carried out the attack.
The 45-year-old man has also been charged with possession of explosives with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property.

He is due to appear in court in Belfast on Saturday.
A 39-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the attack has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
Another man, a 34-year-old, who was being questioned about the bombing has been released unconditionally.
