Belfast: Man in hospital after alleyway shooting

A man has been shot a number of times in an attack in north Belfast.

The shooting happened in an alleyway between Sheridan Street and Donore Court off the Antrim Road at about 01:00 BST on Monday.

The man, in his 20s, is in a stable condition in hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for the driver of a car who took the victim to hospital to contact them as they may have important information.
