A1 southbound closed after serious crash near Newry

The southbound carriageway of the A1 road between Belfast and Dublin has been closed after a serious crash.

The crash happened near Newry at about 11.30 BST.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said all traffic was being diverted at the junction with the Old Dublin Road.

There are also delays on the northbound carriageway of both the A1 and south of the border on the N1 due to the incident.
