West Belfast: Man injured in 'horrific shooting' by gang of men

A man has been shot in both legs outside a property in west Belfast in an attack described by police as "horrific".
Three masked men were involved in the shooting at Whitecliff Drive, at about 21:00 BST on Thursday.
Police said the suspects were all wearing dark clothing and fled the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital. Detectives are investigating a number of lines of inquiry regarding a motive.
"This shooting is a clear human rights abuse and everyone in the community has the right to live free from the threat of violence," a police spokesman said.
"The horrific violence that was inflicted on this man will most certainly leave physical and mental scars and trauma that may never heal.
"Victims of such attacks often have their lives changed forever."
