Coleraine: Woodburn Crescent security alert ends

A security alert that led to some residents having to leave their homes in Coleraine, County Londonderry, on Thursday has ended.

Police had said a suspicious object was found in Woodburn Crescent which could have been buried for a number of years.

However, the item was examined and declared as nothing untoward.

All roads have now reopened and police have thanked residents for their co-operation.
