East Belfast: Man in critical condition after scooter crash

A man is in a critical condition after being knocked down in a collision between his electric scooter and a car in east Belfast.
It happened in Ascot Park, near the Knock Road, at about 14:30 BST on Wednesday, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said.
The PSNI and the Charity Air Ambulance also attended the scene. The man was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
The Knock Road was closed for a number of hours but has since reopened.
