A 37-year-old man has been charged with arson in connection with a fire at a restaurant in the centre of Belfast on Wednesday morning.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning, charged with arson.

Mourne Seafood Bar said its outside area would be closed for the foreseeable future, although the inside of the restaurant will remain open.

Its owner said he believed the fire caused about £15,000 of damage.
