North Belfast: Weapon and ammunition found at Duncairn Gardens

A weapon and ammunition have been found in north Belfast, sparking a security alert.

Army and police officers examined the items that were discovered by a member of the public at Duncairn Gardens on Friday morning.

Police said the items were made safe and then taken away for further examination.

They have started an investigation and want anyone with information about the items to contact them.
