Body found confirmed as missing man Lee Johnston, PSNI say

Coleraine man Lee Johnston was last seen on 7 October

A body found in Maghera in County Londonderry is that of missing man Lee Johnston, police have confirmed.

A post-mortem examination was carried out after the discovery was made on Wednesday night.

Mr Johnston, who was 21, was last seen in Cookstown on 7 October. Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

"Our thoughts today are very much with Lee's family and friends as they mourn his loss," said Supt Michael O'Loan.

A 31-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, who were arrested following Lee Johnston's disappearance, were bailed on Tuesday night to allow for further enquiries.
