Armoy: Man who died crash named as Michael Scally

A man who died following a single-vehicle road crash in Armoy, County Antrim, was 34-year-old Michael Scally.

The crash occurred in the vicinity of the Coolkeeran Road shortly after 23:30 GMT on Sunday.

The crash involved a a silver Peugeot 207. There were no other passengers in the car.

Emergency services attended the scene and gave first aid to Mr Scally before he was taken to hospital.

A section of the road was closed following the crash but has since reopened.

Police have said that their investigation as to what happened is ongoing.

They have issued an appeal for anyone with dash-cam footage or any information about the crash to contact them.
