Larne security alert declared 'nothing untoward'

Police are in attendance after a suspicious object was discovered in the Hope Street area

A security alert in Larne, County Antrim, has ended after a suspicious object was declared as "nothing untoward".

Police attended the scene after the object was discovered in the Hope Street area of the town.

The train line between Larne and Whitehead has re-opened after NI Railways suspended trains for a period of time during the alert.

All roads have also re-opened where cordons were in place.
