Londonderry: Pedestrian critical after Strand Road collision

The Strand Road in Londonderry has re-opened after a pedestrian was struck by a car.
The man in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a Volkswagen Golf at about 01:40 GMT, police have said.
The road was closed on Sunday morning between Rock Road and Duncreggan Road, and access to Sainsbury's was closed to the public.
The diversions have now been lifted.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information, or video footage, to contact them.
