What people want is change - Mary Lou McDonald

Sinn Féin president and leader of the opposition Mary Lou MacDonald has called for an Irish general election.

She was speaking after Simon Harris was elected as taoiseach (Irish prime minister) by members of the Dáil (Irish parliament).

She claimed the government had "lost direction".
