Leader of the Labour Party Ed Miliband's new son has been named Samuel Stewart Thornton Miliband.
Mr Miliband's partner Justine Thornton gave birth to their second child on Sunday night - a boy weighing 8lbs 3oz.
Mr Miliband's grandfather was called Samuel while Miss Thornton's father is called Stewart.
A proud Mr Miliband told reporters outside the hospital on Monday his new son was "really gorgeous" and he and Ms Thornton were "delighted".
The couple already have one son - 17-month-old Daniel - who also has Ms Thornton's surname as one of his middle names.
The couple are not married although Mr Miliband said they planned to get married when questioned about it after becoming Labour leader in September.
He also admitted to being embarrassed that he was not named on the birth certificate of their first son but said he would be sure not to miss out a second time.
Mr Miliband is taking two weeks' paternity leave - Harriet Harman will stand in for him in Parliament.
