Euro debate: Will Hutton, Alan Johnson and Michael Portillo

Economist Will Hutton said the euro currency will "get up off its knees" in 10 to 15 years and its influence would restrict Britain's economic independence and ability to set its own interest rates.

He was debated the ideas in his film in the This Week studio with Alan Johnson who said he would rather be in a two-speed Europe than in the euro, and Michael Portillo who said some countries will have to leave the currency.
