Attitudes to disabled 'hardening' - Francesca Martinez

An actor with cerebral palsy disagreed with former defence secretary Michael Portillo over whether disability benefits were being widely claimed fraudulently.

Portillo said governments had found it "convenient" to move "a lot of people" from unemployment to disability benefit and politicians had been complicit in the move.

Francesca Martinez said vulnerable people were paying for greed at the top and the government was "morally disabled" as they debated her film speaking against planned welfare reform.
