Clegg: Asking higher earners to give up benefits is fair
The deputy prime minister has confirmed the Government is considering changes to its plans for axing child benefit from higher rate taxpayers.
At the moment the Government is set to remove child benefit from households where an individual earns more than £43,000.
Nick Clegg says the benefits system needs to be fairer, and asking those who earn more money than others to give up benefits is fair.
