Miliband, Cameron and Clegg react to local election results

The main party leaders have been reacting after Labour won a string of victories in English and Welsh local elections.

Labour said it was a "wake-up call" to the government to change course, but the PM said he would stick with "difficult decisions" to deal with the deficit.

Meanwhile, Deputy PM Nick Clegg said he was "really sad" after the Lib Dems' total number of councillors dipped below 3,000 for the first time since the party was formed in 1988.
