Ed Miliband: 'Labour is taking nothing for granted'

Labour has won a string of victories in English and Welsh local elections, with leader Ed Miliband saying it shows his party is in touch with people's concerns.

Labour said it was a "wake-up call" to the government but the PM said he would stick with "difficult decisions" to deal with the deficit.

Speaking in Birmingham, Mr Miliband said ''the job of rebuilding trust in Labour is not yet done'' and that nothing is being ''taken for granted''.
