PMQs: David Cameron challenged over Greg Barker

Prime Minister David Cameron has ruled out an inquiry into claims climate change minister Greg Barker had inappropriate links with an adviser.

The Guardian has uncovered documents showing Mr Barker had meetings with corporate clients of Miriam Maes, a consultant in his department.

Labour MP Andrew Gwynne raised the issue at prime minister's questions.

But Mr Cameron said he had decided not to take action after consulting senior civil servants on Mr Barker's conduct.

"I don't see the need for a further inquiry on that basis," he told MPs.
