Police commissioner post: Lord Prescott on job cuts

Lord Prescott said he was not prepared to accept the 400 job cuts due to be made in Humberside Police.

The former deputy prime minister told Andrew Neil why he was running for the role of police commissioner in his home area, despite voting against the creation of the roles, with the first elections set for November.

He said Labour's crime policies had "led to the biggest decline in criminal offences".
