Corby by-election - new MP after Louise Mensch resigns
Voters in Corby and eastern Northamptonshire will be asked to brave the winter weather and vote for a new MP next week.
The by-election was caused after Conservative Louise Mensch stood down to move to the USA after two years in the job.
There was a Conservative majority of less than 2,000 in 2010, and a Labour win would give the party its first by-election gain from the Tories in more than 15 years.
David Thompson reports from the East Midlands.
