Griff Rhys Jones on localism and planning controls
Griff Rhys Jones, the presenter and president of Civic Voice, has been touring Yorkshire to get people more involved in planning decisions, claiming a local voice "has been missed out".
He said Treasury and the Cabinet was encouraging "building and development willy nilly to get ourselves out of the economic downturn".
But he claimed Communities Secretary Eric Prickles' Growth and Infrastructure Bill "appeared to ride roughshod over all those intentions".
