Tim Farron: Our children will judge us for our actions

Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron has attacked the prime minister's plans to take the UK out of the single market, as the government triggered the Article 50 process to leave the EU.

Telling MPs that "our children and our grandchildren will judge all of us for our actions during this time", Mr Farron added that he wanted to tell his own children: "I did everything I could to prevent this calamity."
