Amber Rudd 'can't be blamed for a document she didn't see'

The environment secretary has said Amber Rudd cannot be held responsible for a document, which appears to set out migrant removal targets, if she did not see it.

Michael Gove defended the home secretary amid a row over her failure to know specific objectives about immigration in the UK.

He said she had been "quick to react, authoritative in her response and determined in policy prosecution".
