Covid-19: Labour's Dodds on Sunak plan to pay workers

The shadow chancellor has welcomed a “U-turn” by the government to pay workers made to stay at home in any new lockdowns after the furlough scheme ends.

Anneliese Dodds said the chancellor Rishi Sunak realised “there does need to be more wage support”, but added there had been a "slow dithering response" from the government.
