Council bosses pay-off tops £13m

Scotland's largest local authority is to spend £13m laying off more than a third of its most senior managers, BBC Scotland has learned.
Glasgow City Council will be making redundancy payments to 102 of its top bosses.
The council has earmarked £127m to lay-off more than 2,600 workers who have applied for voluntary redundancy or early retirement.
Uptake is highest among the highest paid employees.
One in three top managers - those earning more than £47,000 a year - are taking a deal.
That will cost Glasgow, on average, £128,000 in pay-offs and pension top-ups for each manager who leaves.
The council, which has more than 35,000 employees, is reducing its workforce to prepare for budget cuts.
The council said the staff reductions would deliver savings after three years.
