Scottish rail services consultation seeks views

A new question mark hangs over cross-border railway sleeper services.

A Scottish government consultation document has suggested the number of overnight trains between Scotland and London could be dramatically reduced.

The document is designed to promote debate about the future of the rail services but it has already provoked an angry reaction.

The public consultation on rail services is open until February 2012.
