Jobs bonanza for Forth Crossing

The Scottish government has said the new Forth Crossing project will create a jobs bonanza and boost the construction sector.

Infrastructure and Capital Investment Secretary Alex Neil has announced over £20m of sub-contracts have been awarded to more than 100 Scottish firms.

Mr Neil said more deals were in the pipeline and claimed around 1,200 jobs would be created during construction.

The Forth Crossing project is due to be completed in 2016. BBC Scotland's David Miller reports.
