Lossiemouth pride in Olympian Stanning

Lossiemouth rower Heather Stanning will have a special stamp printed in her honour, a post box painted gold and she has had praise from the prime minister.

The army captain, who was raised in the Moray town, has become something of a local hero.

Fans in the town's Beach Bar watched her storm to victory.

Graham Fleming, manager of the bar, spoke to BBC Scotland's Gary Robertson of the moment Heather finished the race: "It is amazing, just shows it takes someone from Lossie to get Great Britain on the medals board. Our punters raised a glass or two."

Stanning and Glover are the first British women ever to win an Olympic gold in rowing.
