Mary of Guise - the mother of Mary Queen of Scots - was on hand to welcome the Queen's Baton to Stirling Castle on Day 23 of the relay.

Commonwealth Games mascot Clyde has been an ever-present fixture on the Queen's Baton Relay round Scotland and has proved a big hit with the crowds.

Marina Murray carries the baton at the Butt of Lewis, the most northerly point in the Outer Hebrides.

Old Inverlochy Castle made a picturesque location for the baton to visit on day 29 of the relay.

Excited schoolchildren got a chance to touch the baton as Team Scotland athlete Hayley Haining took it through Kilbirnie on 15 July.

Helen MacLennan carried the baton through Glenurquhart Shinty Park at Drumnadrochit in the Scottish Highlands.

Baton bearer David Sedgwick carried the baton aboard a stream train which travelled across the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which famously appears in some of the Harry Potter films.

The real Clyde was elsewhere but baton bearer Andrea McLachlan posed with a great look-a-like on Day 32 of the relay.
